I’ve been a loyal customer at Peck’s Automotive for years. I trusted them. When I asked for something to be checked or repaired it was. Generally, I dealt with Keith. At a recent visit I asked to have my snow tires swapped in for the summer tires. This included the purchase of two new winter tires; Keith managed the work order. He recommended setting the tire pressure on all four winter tires to 35psi. That afternoon when I picked up the car he reviewed the invoice and I asked him if the tires were set to 35psi as he recommended. He assured me they were. The following day after checking the tires I was shocked to see that each tire was under-inflated by 6psi. I spoke with Keith and asked him why the tires were not set to 35psi as he promised. He put the blame on miscommunication between himself and the technician. Oddly enough, there was no confirmation on the work order that the technician set the tire pressure to 35psi. Miscommunication would suggest failure to communicate adequately, however after learning about the complaint the technician who worked on my car called me and said no instructions were on the work order to set the tire pressure to 35psi This was not miscommunication, it was lack of listening, low concentration, lack of prioritization and poor judgment on Keith’s part. There’s no other logical explanation. Be aware and beware before you consider leaving your car at Peck’s automotive!
