Child Seat Standards
It's up to the parents and other caregivers to stay up-to-date with the latest information, and to do everything they can to keep children as safe as possible while on the road.
In Canada, all provinces and territories require infants and toddlers to be buckled up in the appropriate car seat. The law also states that children's car seats and booster cushions must be certified to Canada Motor Vehicle Standards and must be used according to manufacturer's instructions. If the instructions are not properly followed or if they are used past their expiry or useful life dates - you may be putting your child's safety at risk and may be found guilty of breaking the law.
